| TITLE | BIET Campus Navigator: An Intelligent Mobile-Based Navigation System for Campus Guidance |
|---|---|
| ABSTRACT | Large educational campuses present navigation challenges due to their large outdoor layouts, multiple pathways, and scattered infrastructure. This paper presents BIET Campus Navigator, an outdoor navigation system that does not rely on GPS but instead uses pre-defined campus map data and a graph-based shortest path algorithm. The system employs Dijkstra’s algorithm to compute optimal routes between campus locations. Additionally, the system integrates voice command input and multilingual speech support including English, Kannada, and Hindi, improving accessibility for diverse user groups. Experimental evaluation demonstrates improvements in navigation efficiency, user convenience, and system usability. |
