| TITLE | Security Analysis and Implementation of Sound Signature Based Email Authentication System |

| ABSTRACT | Traditional email authentication mechanisms commonly rely on passwords or two-factor tokens, which remain vulnerable to phishing, credential theft, and replay attacks. This work presents the design, implementation, and security analysis of a sound signature based email authentication system, introducing an additional biometric-like verification layer derived from unique acoustic patterns produced by the user. With the rise of phishing attacks, credential theft, and email account breaches, traditional password-based authentication is no longer sufficient to ensure secure user access. This research presents the design, implementation, and security evaluation of a sound-signature image based email authentication system, a novel multimodal verification approach that combines acoustic identity features with image-encoded signature data. The system captures a user’s audio input along with an associated image representation that encodes the sound signature through spectrogram or feature-mapping techniques. Noise-resilient preprocessing and environmental adaptation strategies further enhance reliability across diverse usage conditions. A comprehensive security analysis evaluates resistance against replay attacks, synthetic audio generation, image forgery, and multimodal spoofing attempts. Experimental results demonstrate high authentication accuracy and significantly reduced false-acceptance rates compared to traditional email login mechanisms. The study highlights the potential of combining sound signatures and image-based feature encoding to create a strong, user-friendly, and tamper-resistant authentication layer for modern email systems. |
